banner Joebreaker is the blog of a 20-yr old Pinoy student whose major failure is trying to balance his acad life with his social life. He's been learning shear forces and hydraulic equations while spending time with his buddies over bottles of beer or just killing each other off in a friendly game of DotA/Warcraft III - which explains why his allowance is usually gone by the middle of the week. Life after college

Author: admin | Files under School, Scratch

As you can see it’s been a while since I last posted. Laziness has always been a part of my life. I don’t really understand how it takes over me but this is usually how it works. I wake up late. I eat. I shower. I sit at the front of the PC. I play Warcraft. I check e-mail. Login to messenger. Play Warcraft more. Rest for 5 mins. Play. Check blog. I think of something to write (I’ve been planning to write this shit for a good month now) - my graduation, grad parties etc. Then at some point there I just stop thinking, I decide to quit writing and just play. Pathetic? I know.

—Right now this entry is in danger of being saved as a draft—

1) The first thing on my list: Congratulations to my fellow CE centennial graduates! Woohoo! FINALLY! All the measly hours of study, the torturous exams— our stressful days of being CE students have officially ended! On to our next step: the boards! Good luck to us all!

These stress-free smiles will soon be plastered with the ever gloomy looks of the corporate slaves! Hehe.

CONGRATS: Ralph, Lourenz, Eric, Ericsson, Roxanne, Dean, Angie, Doreen, Romen, Ryan, Harlan, Brianne, Sandy, Tristan, Fatima, Mayen, Reigna, Cherry, Chers, Jeff, James, Jason, Leslie, Chrismar, Homer, Sheena, Krystel, Tony, Jun, Mar, Virgie, Gracia, Joanna, Jessa, Jigs, Paulo, Coy and to all Eng’g graduates.

2) Parties

As what I told Kring during our graduation party at Fiamma, most of us eng’g students don’t go out much. We don’t really have the knack to go partying or clubbing. We have plenty of time to spend with our calculators and sample exams, solving problems on forces, moments, mohr’s circle, and how great the impact is between two cars after collision. For us students of civil engineering, we were too busy learning how to design your future skyscrapers to party all night. Hehe.

gradparty!

Old Hollywood ‘yan

BUT. We’re not all that. We do know how to have fun (even if you call us noobs because we dance in groups lol). Somebody should really teach me how to dance!

Besides our graduation party, I also went to the 88DB bloggers’ party at Katips Bar and of course met the blogger friends. It was, yeah, fun, hunting people to stamp your paper with the stuff you can get from 88DB. I won and got myself a webcam but Poyt left it at the place. Did videoke with some bloggers afterwards and slept at Juned’s place because, quoting Benj, “we were indecisive.” Thanks for the good company Karla, Vinch, Jed, Chabs (iBlog4 event); Dan Hellbound, Neil, LA, Aaron, Shari, AJ, Ria, Benj, Coy, Poyt, Fritz, Ade, Jeff, Kring, Mishi, Angel, and to those I missed.

Good boy, bad girls

Finally, Coy and I celebrated our success (separately, hehe) at our own digs last Saturday-Sunday. Thanks to those who dropped by. My batchmates still owe me some explanation though.

PS Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there!

It was a pleasure meeting you and shaking your hand, my friend. Too bad we really didn’t get to talk a lot, though. Anyway, I’m hoping that I can go to the following meetups when I get the time. :)
