Example, Waw paksiw - badtrip yun, ang haba pa.

Axe commercials. Parang animals lang ang mga babae. Humahabol sa amoy, parang aso. At least yun yung pinapahiwatig ng commercials.

And lastly, SMARTBRO COMMERCIALS / kahit anong publicity ng SmartBro. Pambansang Broadband?

Corny.

The chance of a person being struck by lightning is 1/3000000.

Tuesday night. Because I was bored and prolly because I wanted to do something to divert me from the monotonous reviewing and recalling formulas, I chilled. I got my headphones and listened to the few groovy music on my phone. You know how it is when you listen to these catchy tunes - somehow they get to your brain and your brain sends signals to your muscles to perform reflex actions, whatever they’re called. So in a few seconds I was rocking my head to the tune. My shoulders went next. I began tapping my feet. But as I anticipated what movement I might do next, a frustrating realization hit me. That’s the best I could do: rock my head, move my shoulders, tap my feet. I can’t dance.

Sure. I can bust a cool, chillin’ and freezing move. But only on that PS game Bust-a-groove. Nope not even on Dance Dance Revo, sorry. Being more of the nerd-indoor-type, I don’t really have the knack for dancing. Though in high school I succeeded in mastering the moves of Mambo No. 5 and a couple of Broadway and modern pop dances for our field demo, nothing followed. As I grew up I realized that in this art I’m more of the observer than the performer. It fits because I can only imagine myself performing supercool moves- something that can’t really happen in reality. Or maybe it can, who knows?

I’ll treat everyone I know to a burger if I can be as good as Justin Timberlake. What are the chances, right? Do you think you’d be struck by lightning first before this happens? Hehe.

Peace out.

—

PS Somehow I think I can manage to dance. If you call flinging your arms around and looking like a total idiot dancing, then yes, maybe I can really dance after all.

PPS I’ve always wanted to do something like this.

As you can see it’s been a while since I last posted. Laziness has always been a part of my life. I don’t really understand how it takes over me but this is usually how it works. I wake up late. I eat. I shower. I sit at the front of the PC. I play Warcraft. I check e-mail. Login to messenger. Play Warcraft more. Rest for 5 mins. Play. Check blog. I think of something to write (I’ve been planning to write this shit for a good month now) - my graduation, grad parties etc. Then at some point there I just stop thinking, I decide to quit writing and just play. Pathetic? I know.

—Right now this entry is in danger of being saved as a draft—

1) The first thing on my list: Congratulations to my fellow CE centennial graduates! Woohoo! FINALLY! All the measly hours of study, the torturous exams— our stressful days of being CE students have officially ended! On to our next step: the boards! Good luck to us all!

These stress-free smiles will soon be plastered with the ever gloomy looks of the corporate slaves! Hehe.

CONGRATS: Ralph, Lourenz, Eric, Ericsson, Roxanne, Dean, Angie, Doreen, Romen, Ryan, Harlan, Brianne, Sandy, Tristan, Fatima, Mayen, Reigna, Cherry, Chers, Jeff, James, Jason, Leslie, Chrismar, Homer, Sheena, Krystel, Tony, Jun, Mar, Virgie, Gracia, Joanna, Jessa, Jigs, Paulo, Coy and to all Eng’g graduates.

2) Parties

As what I told Kring during our graduation party at Fiamma, most of us eng’g students don’t go out much. We don’t really have the knack to go partying or clubbing. We have plenty of time to spend with our calculators and sample exams, solving problems on forces, moments, mohr’s circle, and how great the impact is between two cars after collision. For us students of civil engineering, we were too busy learning how to design your future skyscrapers to party all night. Hehe.

Old Hollywood ‘yan

BUT. We’re not all that. We do know how to have fun (even if you call us noobs because we dance in groups lol). Somebody should really teach me how to dance!

Besides our graduation party, I also went to the 88DB bloggers’ party at Katips Bar and of course met the blogger friends. It was, yeah, fun, hunting people to stamp your paper with the stuff you can get from 88DB. I won and got myself a webcam but Poyt left it at the place. Did videoke with some bloggers afterwards and slept at Juned’s place because, quoting Benj, “we were indecisive.” Thanks for the good company Karla, Vinch, Jed, Chabs (iBlog4 event); Dan Hellbound, Neil, LA, Aaron, Shari, AJ, Ria, Benj, Coy, Poyt, Fritz, Ade, Jeff, Kring, Mishi, Angel, and to those I missed.

Good boy, bad girls

Finally, Coy and I celebrated our success (separately, hehe) at our own digs last Saturday-Sunday. Thanks to those who dropped by. My batchmates still owe me some explanation though.

______

PS Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there!

It’s Sunday. It’s 4 in the morning. And I’m bored!

I felt like I should do something other than sleep, so I peeped into some people’s lives thru their online journals. I found some pretty interesting blogs and authors and it was really worth my time checkin their sites. And yeah I just have to say this. What is it with this time of the year and the topic ‘growing up-slash-contemplating the future’ because man, a lot of people (especially my fellow youngsters) are writing about it. I was just totally fascinated coz I’m plain anxious as they are about what the future holds and how will I ever grow up in terms of maturity.

Now let me have my own say on the scary concept called future. My usual advice: take it easy. Let the good times roll - just take one small step at a time and before you know it, you’re there. Of course it doesn’t pay much to think and contemplate at times but hey, DON’T make worrying a habit. That’s our parents’ job haha! In the mean time we just have to prepare for it by setting our goals and deciding for ourselves. (Gimme a hint if I sound like a mentor or a really experienced guy because I could be posing and I don’t even know it)

Moving on. So there, just build your dreams and don’t let anyone ruin it, don’t let the enemy engineer infiltrate your base or your World Tree be destroyed! Haha. Just earlier today I found someone who was tryn to kill my dream: my MOM.

Me (grinning): Ma, after I graduate I’m gonna earn bigbucks abroad, maybe in the US or CA, and I’m gonna stay there for good!

Mom: You think it’s that easy? It’s hell out there. They only have three weeks vacation etc etc etc . . . and what’s going to happen to you if you live alone? You can’t even take care of yourself. . .

So there ya have it. Anyone can ruin it for you, even the ones you love! Hahaha. I’m already on crack. I have to sleep now.

Peace!

PS. This entry was taken from my anon blog. Sry. I’m really tryin’ to write something but I can’t think of any topic at all. I’m blaming this on Warcraft III. This game is screwing my life bigtime… but it’s fun!

A couple of months back I told myself I must quit blogging and try to spend minimal time on the internet because this so-called online life is starting to get into my system - not good for a student in his last semester in school. If you’re a guy who has no idea of time management at all, who doesn’t care about being late and who procrastinates a lot, then we’re on the same boat. I just got slapped into reality when I realized that I traded hours of playing DotA, fixing templates and chatting for exam scores lower than my age and absences that could get me a grade of 5.

Some of the things that happened while I was AFK:

1. Went to school wearing pambahay (t-shirt, beach shorts, chinelas), and yes, without taking a shower. It’s no use telling anyone that I took a bath the afternoon before or the reason was I crammed a take-home exam at a friend’s house and I only had a couple of minutes before the deadline because the fact that I roamed the college with that look is… out-of-hand.

Classmate (looking very amazed): Oi joe! San ka galing?!

Me: …punta kong CR… Maghihilamos.

2. Underwent some transformation. Thanks, Regine’s Salon for the free makeover (this is long overdue, but better late than never!). “Look at that hair– it’s all over the place!” I was told. So there, it became a bit more– funky. I can’t say I loved it, though. I liked it, but not too much. It did make me look badass at school, but that’s not a really good thing.

After some time I went to the barber to have my hair trimmed. He told me he’s giving me the “gupit-artista”. Good man. As to which celebrity… well? Hehe. I just notice that I get a lot of weird hairstyle names lately. Before this “gupit-artista” there was also a “beautiful boy haircut”. I wonder what’s next.

3. Field trip.

I got to see how the water we use (or drink, for some) is ‘recycled’ in the wastewater treatment plants. It’s nastier than how it looks because of the smell. But I do like seeing sewage getting treated. It amazes me. Yeah, I’m dirty like that. But seriously, we should all do our part in conserving water.

Those are some of the things that happened to me for the past months. Right now I’m still unsure if I’ll march and get my diploma this April or wait and try again next semester. Too bad. But I have a lot of time to worry about that. My sem’s officially ended and now it’s time to have fun! So yeah, I’m back. Anybody care to greet me “WB” the IRC style? Hehe.

Peace!
